Only One God Ministries is alive and kicking! This blog has been a passion of mine to continue but it hasn't come without it's ups and downs. I hope that from this day forward we will continue to spread inspiration and promise found through a life of submission to God that effects our world in a permanent experience. Let this be known, By the Grace of Jesus Christ, we are here to stay!

Thankful:

Some mornings I wake up with an extra dose of optimism and inspiration. And this is one of those mornings. I can't help but think about all of the things that the Lord has given and is willing to give to those who put there faith in him. "for he that cometh to God must believe that he is: and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" Heb 11:6b. I love this verse! I love all of the word of God but this particular verse ministers to me exceedingly. Have faith in God. He is doing it. He will bring inspiration. He will make a way where there is no way. He will help you. I know he will. He always will. Because he love you.

New Year:

It seems to me that time continues to move forward at at rapid rate. I'm looking forward to a prosperous new year. You say "it's only August 1st?". Well, think about it. Just a few days ago it was January 1st!
The word of God states "Where there is no vision the people parish:" Proverbs 29:18a. Jesus also taught "Take therefore no thought for the morrow:" Matthew 6:33a. There is no contradiction between these two passages of scripture. In the New Testament passage Jesus taught us to have all of our reliance for our daily living provisions rooted by faith in him. The Old Testament taught us to plan as though we will live forever. Only One God Ministries is looking forward to a wonderful 2011 filled with a new music CD, continuing the promotion of the One God Logo and possibly a illustrated children's book. The life that God has given us is not to be squandered. Our lives are to be a light to the world!

Decisions:

The decisions we make today will effect and affect us for the rest of our lives. One decision can change the course of our lives for the better or for the worse. Decisions that change the direction that we are going should never be decided upon without proper prayer, thought and contemplation. The word of God states " in the multitude of counsellors there is safety" Prov.11:14. Using wisdom as Solomon did, we understand that there is proper council and there is improper council. The people that the Lord gives us will not always see things our way. Sometimes, proper council is completely opposite the way we view the circumstance. But through it all, as we lean upon the Lord "in all our ways" our steps become "ordered of the Lord" through obedience to his word. Change is the only way we grow.

Victory Again:

I hope to always be an optimist. Keeping a positive attitude in these negative times is not only a challenge to me but it is also a necessity. With rising unemployment, the dollar losing ground, and human decadence at an all time high, the American Christian can find himself or herself on the downward slope of depression and despair; But God. If you have been baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost according to the book of Acts Chapter 2:4 and Acts chapter 2:38; you have that eternal optimism residing within. You don't have to worry about the future, you already know " As long as I trust in His word, everything is going to be O.K .". Put your trust in God! It's going to be alright! You'll never go wrong putting your trust in Jesus Christ.

We must Win:

With all of the religions in the world, we must continue to spread the truth of Gods word relentlessly and without apology. This planet that the Lord has created for us is a beautiful and marvelous place. With the life that God has given us we can find many things to do. We can behold things that cause us to marvel at the power and splendor of the world that we live in. It is the actions of human beings that bring reproach upon the creation of God. Few people call "Sin" sin any more. Disobedience to God's word is sin. I want to live a life free from the reproach of Sin. And I know that through the blood of Jesus Christ the lamb of God, I can live a life above this reproach. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

The acknowledgement of the existence of the One true God found in the Bible must come through revelation. " All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him" Mt 11:27. Fortunately for humanity, the Lord has opened an effectual door through repentance and obedience to the scriptures to allow them to come to this understanding " For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth " I Tim 2:3-4. Only One God Ministries is dedicated to propagating this understanding so that all men may have an opportunity to come to Biblical salvation. For the Lord Himself said " I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins " Jn 8:24. The Lord has been with us so far and I'm looking forward to an abundant year to come.

Victory:

The natural inclination of human beings is depression, fear, oppression and defeat. The human being, although resilient in survival, will naturally fall back on these base feelings if allowed by the individual that is in charge of himself or herself. And those of us that understand that there is an enemy that fights against us, understand that these inclinations are often compounded by the influence of that enemy. After I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:1-4) and was baptized (Acts 2:38) I never could understood the doomsday mentality that states we have to live in fear, despair and poverty both physically and Spirituality, when we have received the fullness of the gospel in our lives. Intimidation is the enemy's tool to discourage the faithless in this modern generation. Have faith! Do great things for God, yourself and for your family. ":but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits" Daniel 11:32b kjv.

Transitions:

Moving addresses is never pleasant. I hate to move. Having to pack up all of your earthly belongings and put them in cardboard boxes, organizing unorganized areas of your life, and cleaning areas hidden by all of your stuff is not exactly what I desire to do on my day off. Yet, if we do not do these necessary things, we will never get to where we are desiring to go.
When the Lord begins to take you to where he wants you to be, He causes you to do things that you really don't want to do. But weather we think these tasks are important or not, they are necessary to achieve the goal of getting us from here to there.
"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." Deuteronomy 3:6

WOW, It's been to long since my last blog. It's amazing how time flies. Only One God Ministries is on an "Onward and Upward" trek upon this expanse of time we call LIFE. I'm constantly being reminded of the ability that we have to succeed. I cannot be down. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. God can and will answer your prayers and give you a new beginning every time your life seems to slow to a crashing halt. Some call it eternal optimism. I call it a life with the forgiveness of God, Truth of God and living in the grace of Jesus Christ. Go, Do and Be.

Obstacles and Ability:

What a year this has been. I cannot believe how quickly the year has gone or is going. I can't help but be optimistic when is comes to my life and Only One God Ministries. When God is for you, who can be against you. Life is a menagerie of obstacles and ability: obstacles that challenge and ability to overcome those obstacles. The Lord Jesus Christ does not allow you to be challenged more than you can bear or doesn't allow you to fall prey or succumb to the challenge. We ourselves may mark weather or not we have succeeded or failed to overcome whatever obstacle we go through but the Lord causes us to continue until we triumph over our greatest challenges. " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me " Allow the Lord to cause you to triumph through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Camp Meeting 2008:

Only One God Ministries was blessed once again to be able to go to the Western District of the UPCI Camp Meeting. Camp Meeting is held annually at the Santa Maria Fair Grounds in Santa Maria California. The presence of the Lord was mighty, the worship spectacular and my life was forever changed. It amazes me how that if we will make ourselves available and pliable to the moving of Gods' Spirit that He will both use us and bless us at the same time. I will forever be grateful to Him for the knowledge that He is alive and well in this present world. Only One God Ministries will be forever influenced by Camp Meeting 2008.

The Greatest Price:

What would cause someone to lay down there life for another. Life is the most precious commodity on earth. You only have one life to live. Everything that has life, weather human or animal, has but one opportunity to fulfill the purpose of it's creation. Yet we have a savior that was willing to give up his life for mankind. Humanity has done and is doing a great injustice. They continually take for granted the wonderful gift of life that was given to us by God. Never taking into consideration the incredible sacrifice that had to come, so that the grace of God could be made available to all. We we're created for life, or rather life was created for us. We are to become the habitation of God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Live. Live everyday.

Faith:

Hebrews 11:1 states "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" and again in v. 8 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him". At Only One God Ministries we believe that you must have faith in a God that has the ability to open doors that no man can shut and shut doors that no man can open. If you have something in your heart that you desire to do for the Lord, believe that God is able to supply the things necessary for you to accomplish the task. The Lord would never ask you to do something that he has not equipped you to do. What ever you find your hands doing, do it unto the Lord, with all of your heart.

A Christian:

When we speak of a Christian, we speak of someone who is committed to the principals, lifestyle and teaching of Jesus Christ. To be a Christian is to exemplify the embodiment of Christ Likeness. Although our own personal ability is feeble at best we continue to follow and embrace his teachings. If we continue to follow Jesus Christ, we believe we can accomplish the somewhat insurmountable task of becoming a Christian. The main difference between the teaching of Jesus Christ and that of other faiths is that the teaching of Jesus Christ can not only change your mind and heart but allow you to experience his resurrection power.

Character:

What would it take to influence someone toward God? And what do you want to accomplish with that influence? If I were to tell you that you look nice, smell nice, like your clothes, like your car, say you have a wonderful family, what would that accomplish? Being nice to one another is a good thing. Helping one another is a better thing. Influencing one another to take another step toward God is what life as a Christian is all about. Character speaks when words are not found. Actions by character influence peoples decisions. What language do you want to speak. I choose to speak truth. "Then peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost " Acts 2:38 KJV

You Can't Out Give the Lord:

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again". I am not one that believes in hijacking scripture to my advantage, but I have found that if you have the audacity to believe the word of God, you will find that it is alive and true. Learn it, digest it, believe it!

The Bible Question:

I was listening to a local talk show today, and I heard something disturbing. The talk show host
began a debate on which document was greater, the Constitution of the United States, or the Bible. Two documents, that in and of themselves are vital to the very existence of those who follow them. The perspective of the host was one stemmed from being an agnostic. I don't put the blame upon the human family for there deprivation, but rather, a strong indictment against my own kind. When I began Only One God Ministries, my goal was to declare something that I believe, the absolute fact that there is but one God. My job as a Christian is to take a LIVING God to a lost and dieing world. The Church must do everything that it can to preach a living Christ that can change and deliver from oppression. The main issue I had with the talk show host was not on preeminence but rather comparison. Without the Bible, there would be no written knowledge of God. Without the Bible there would be no judgement, justice, liberty, equality and freedom. " We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness " Declaration of Independance July 4th 1776.

A New Beginning:

Since it's conception, Only One God Ministries has taken on many forms. I'm thankful for every growth pain and inspiration of change. I believe that if you want to be successful in life, you must constantly push your gift farther each day. A stagnant pool begins to stink after a while. Reach, Move, Live for what God has put in your heart and Go For It!!

We're Back:

Western District Youth Convention 2008 was a tremendous success. Only One God Ministries was honored to be there. The preaching from Bro. Sam Emory every night was anointed and power packed. We give all the glory to the Lord for his many gifts. The day sessions where filled with inspirational instruction and sound doctrine. Hearing from our District Superintendent as well as from our District Youth President and District Youth Secretary we're special treats for me. The most amazing thing for me to see, are all of the youth of the Western District who have re-consecrated there lives as well as have been renewed in the Holy Ghost. Your experience in God doesn't have to be dry, dull, and boring. On the Contrary, Life with Jesus Christ is filled with Inspiration, Joy and Power in the Holy Ghost. Go, Do, Be!! In Jesus Name!

On the Road Again!:

This coming Monday March 17th thru Thursday the 20th, Only One God Ministries will be at the Western District Youth Convention in Bakersfield, California. The evening speaker will be Pastor Sam Emory. I am looking forward to the services with great anticipation. I know that the Lord will be there. Will You?

Dream Big:

People are so easily discouraged. If everyone performed there act of kindness, followed there dream, the world would be even more interesting than it already is. When you look at building, it had an architect. When you look at a city, it had a city planner. When you look at a train, it had an engineer. When we look at the earth and stars, we see the handiwork of the God. Everything that we see is the fulfillment of someone who followed there dream. Someone who used what God has given them to give to the world. I challenge you; follow your dreams. And when you dream, Dream Big.

Ladies Conference:

What a splendid time the attendants had at the Western District Ladies Conference. There were two that were healed by the power of God. Some of the ladies that I spoke to at the conference were both inspired and refreshed in there walk with God. Hearing there testimonies made me thankful that Only One God Ministries was able to be at the conference. Weather we are Men, Women, Boys, Girls or Children, the Lord is concerned about us.

On The Road:

We are currently at the Western District Ladies Conference. We are looking for great success. Our product has done well in a convention setting. My wife is doing a Great Job representing Only One God Ministries and enjoying the Conference.

One More River to Cross:

One More River to Cross was the first song I ever wrote. I think it was in the summer of 1998 when I had taken a job working as a courier delivering documents. I know I was in my car thinking about my music and wondering what the Lord was going to do with it. Then all of a sudden I began to sing "Well there's one more river to cross, and there's one more mountain to climb" the words began to roll off my tongue, and boy was I amazed. I then knew for a fact that the Lord had music and song in my future. It took a while before the song was completed. I'm not a lyricist or professional poet (at least not then). I heard someone say recently that "Success is the pathway on the way to your dreams" Our life, as mundane as it seems sometimes, is truly our pathway. If we are going to succeed in life, we must look at life as a gift from God that must not be squandered away. If we are diligent, along this pathway we can find a song that not only will encourage and help us individually but do the same for someone else.

I have always had a great desire to sing. I never thought that it would be such a great part of my life and ministry that it has become. I remember joking with my friends before I came to God, that someday I would sing and record gospel music. Little did I know, that the Lord had it in my future to both sing in church and record gospel music. My first offering is called "There is Only One God". I wrote eight of the twelve songs. Writing songs, for me, is truly a spiritual experience. I know for a fact, that although my hand penned the words, the authorship is from another place. The other four are songs that I have been singing in church for years. My hope is that someday I will be able to sing and minister all over the world.

"artistic" background, it took me quite a long time to finish the concept drawing. I truly thank the Lord for everything he has given me!

As founder of Only One God Ministries, I would like to officially Welcome You to our blog! Early in 2007, while I was asking God "What do you want me to do with my life?" an idea was birthed in my heart and mind. From that inspired vision, a logo was created. I then registered the logo as a trademark. I now market my product in the form of screen printed shirts, embroidered hats and embroidered shirts. I also record gospel music. My first music CD is now available on my website and is soon to be on every major music website for mp3 download. It's somewhat amazing to me how it has all fallen together. I have always believed that true inspiration and true genius were God given. Not "God given" as in from somewhere within us, but instead from an all powerful being that possesses all power, all knowledge and all true inspiration. I hope that through all of my various products, I'm able to take care of myself and further the work of God throughout the world.
